Edward Novotny

Professional Advisor at Epilepsy Foundation

Dr. Edward Novotny is a professional advisory board member at the Epilepsy Foundation. Edward has also served as chair of the Scientific Program Committee, the Clinical Investigators Workshop Committee, and the Pediatric Content Committee for the American Epilepsy Society. In addition, they have been an associate professor at Yale University and acting assistant professor at Stanford University School of Medicine.

Dr. Novotny's research interests include neuroimaging and pediatric epilepsy. Edward has received funding from the NIH for their magnetic resonance research and has been awarded a FIRST Award from the NIH for their work in pediatric epilepsy. Edward is currently director of the Pediatric Epilepsy Program at Seattle Children's Hospital.

Edward Novotny's educational career includes a B.S. from UC Irvine in Chemistry, Biology, a MD from Saint Louis University School of Medicine, and a Doctor of Medicine - MD from the University of California, Davis. Edward is currently a Child Neurology Resident and Epilepsy/EEG fellow at Stanford University School of Medicine. Edward's research interests include Child Neurology, Epilepsy, and Neurophysiology.
