Bill Sims

Director, Government Operations at Epiq Solutions

Bill Sims is currently the Director of Government Operations at Epiq Solutions. Prior to this, they were the Manager of Applications Engineering at Digital Receiver Technology, Inc. (A Boeing Company) from March 2009 to December 2015. In this role, Bill developed new revenue sources and increased market share for the DRT. Bill also established, maintained, and advanced relationships with customers, ensuring they remained aware of DRT’s existing and forecasted capabilities and providing differentiation from the competition—thereby influencing the customers’ make/buy decision in favor of DRT products. Furthermore, they identified capability shortfalls in existing and planned customer’s SIGINT equipment and programs and leveraged DRT’s technical and tactical expertise to develop technologies, TTPs, and CONOPs that satisfied identified and foreseen requirements. Bill also served as a liaison with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters requiring coordination between multiple organizations.

Prior to their time at Digital Receiver Technology, Inc., Bill Sims was a Signals Intelligence Operations Supervisor at USSOCOM from October 2003 to March 2006. Before that, they were a student (BSI) at National Intelligence University from September 2002 to August 2003. Their very first job was as a Senior SIGINT Analyst at the National Security Agency from March 1998 to February 2000.

Bill Sims has a MS-IMPM from the University of Arkansas Grantham in Information Management/Project Management. Bill also has a Bachelor's degree from National Intelligence University in Intelligence and a BSI from Joint Military Intelligence College (JMIC) in Intelligence.

They are on a team with Chris Whalen - VP of Sales, Robert Hunter - Principal Engineer, FPGA Development, and Aaron Madsen - Chief Technologist. Their manager is John Orlando, CEO.
