Katarina Nilsson

Katarina Nilsson has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Katarina is currently working as the Vice President of People & Culture, Communications & SHEQ at Epiroc since September 2023. Prior to this, they were a member of the Lex Mundi Client Advisory Council at Lex Mundi from 2020 onwards. Katarina has also worked as a Leadership Development Consultant at Leading Right AB, where they provided executive coaching and facilitated human element and radical collaboration. As for their legal background, Katarina served as the General Counsel and Board Secretary at Northvolt from December 2021 to April 2023, and at SCA from November 2019 to November 2021. In their earlier roles at Norsk Hydro, they held positions such as Senior Vice President for Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), Executive Vice President for People & HSE, Executive Vice President for HR at Sapa A/S, and VP HR, Legal & CSR at Sapa Ltd. Before that, they were the Chairman of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China and a Resident Partner at Advokatfirman Vinge KB. Katarina also gained experience as a Tingsnotarie/Law Clerk at the Helsingborg District Court.

Katarina Nilsson holds a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in Law from Lund University, where they studied from 1997 to 2001. Prior to that, they obtained a BA Hons degree in Chinese Studies with a focus on Mandarin Chinese from SOAS University of London, graduating between 1991 and 1996. In addition, Katarina has obtained certifications in coaching and the INSEAD OEP FAN program from INSEAD Executive Education in 2023 and INSEAD in 2021, respectively.
