Elizabeth Fitzsimons

Elizabeth W. Fitzsimons has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Elizabeth W. is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Episcopal Community Services, where they lead a team of professionals and oversees programs aimed at transforming communities. Prior to this, they held leadership positions at the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce, where they focused on leadership development programs and strategic marketing communications. Elizabeth W. has also served as the Sr. Director of Marketing and Communications at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego, where they led a team in promoting the hospital's services. Additionally, they have experience in media and public relations, working for both the County of San Diego and The San Diego Union-Tribune. Elizabeth began their career as a staff writer for The Desert Sun Publishing Company and gained valuable experience as an intern at Gannett. Elizabeth W. also has experience in community work, serving as a Day Camp Director at the Silver Spring Neighborhood Center.

Elizabeth W. Fitzsimons has a bachelor's degree in Political Science and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, which they obtained between 1991 and 1995. Elizabeth W. pursued further studies at American University, where they completed a master's degree in Journalism and Public Affairs from 1996 to 1997. Additionally, in 1993, Elizabeth participated in a semester abroad program at the Spanish-American Institute in Seville, Spain, concentrating on Politics, Art History, and Literature.
