Javier Bastos is an experienced educator specializing in science, currently serving as a Teacher of Science at Episcopal High School since July 2018. In addition to this role, Javier has been a Teacher at Harvard University for the Crimson Summer Academy since 2004. Previous teaching positions include a tenure at McDonogh School from July 2009 to July 2018, as well as teaching science at Talbot County Public Schools, Boston Arts Academy, and New Mission High School. Prior to entering education, Javier worked at L'Oreal as a Manager in Industrial Chemistry and Quality Assurance from June 1988 to July 1997. Javier holds a Master’s degree in Science Education from Harvard University and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Rutgers University–New Brunswick.
