Eugene Barrett has been working in the Information Technology field since 2005. Eugene began their career as a Computer Department Supervisor at Circuit City, where they supervised the operations of the entire department and all 10 employees. From 2006 to 2009, Eugene worked as a Help Desk Technician at Texas Tech University, where they managed, organized, led, and provided support for project teams within the Support Center environment. Eugene then moved to the University of North Texas, where they worked as a Technical Support Assistant from 2009 to 2011. Eugene then joined Charles Schwab as a Technical Support and Service, where they utilized independent escalation, knowledge base, and problem tracking strategies through call-tracking software. In 2014, they began working as an IT Analyst at Jones Energy. From 2015 to 2016, Eugene worked as a Systems Implementation Specialist at iFLY Indoor Skydiving, and then as a Systems Administrator III at the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board from 2016 to 2021. In 2021, Eugene began their current role as Information Technology Manager at Episode Six.

Eugene Barrett attended the University of North Texas from 2008-2011, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Strategic Communication/ Public Relations. From 2006-2008, they attended Texas Tech University, though they did not earn a degree. In 2015, they returned to the University of North Texas and earned a Master's degree in Educational/Instructional Technology. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including Azure Administrator (2020), Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) (2012), Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) - Windows 7 (2012), Microsoft Office Specialist (2012), and CompTIA A+ (2012).
