Murat Balaban

Murat Balaban serves as the Executive Chairman and Chief Technology Officer at Episome Biotechnologies since January 2014. Previously, Murat held positions as a Post Doctoral Scientist at Sabanci University from August 2014 to August 2016, and as a Post Doctoral Researcher at Karolinska Institutet from September 2011 to November 2013. Murat began formal research as a Graduate Student Research Assistant at UT Southwestern Medical Center from August 2005 to July 2011. Murat completed a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at Istanbul University (2015-2019), a Ph.D. in Molecular Microbiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center (2005-2011), and a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Genetics at Bilkent University (2001-2005). Additionally, Murat obtained a High School Diploma from İstanbul Atatürk Fen Lisesi (1998-2001).
