David Heeger

David Heeger is a distinguished academic and researcher serving as a Silver Professor and Professor of Psychology and Neural Science at New York University since September 2002 and is a member of the National Academy of Sciences. Heeger co-founded Epistemic AI in September 2018 and holds the position of Chief Scientific Officer at Statespace since June 2017. Prior to this, Heeger was an Associate Professor at Stanford University from September 1992 to August 2002. Early career experience includes a role as a Research Scientist at NASA Ames Research Center from January 1990 to August 1992. Educational qualifications include a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the MIT Media Lab in Neuroscience and multiple degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, culminating in a PhD in Computer Science.
