Annie de Groot M.D.

Annie De Groot MD is an accomplished immune engineer and a prominent leader in the field of immunology and vaccine research. Currently serving as an immune engineer in collaboration with passionate scientists everywhere since 2016, Annie was recently recognized as "CEO of the Year" at the Vaccine Industry Excellence Awards. As the founder, Chief Scientific Officer, and Chairman of the Board at EpiVax, Inc. since May 1998, Annie has played a pivotal role in advancing vaccine technology. Annie's previous positions include serving as a professor at the Center for Vaccines and Immunology at UGA and holding various leadership roles at EpiVax Oncology Inc. Additionally, Annie has contributed to academia as a professor and director at the University of Rhode Island and has a rich background in editing the Infectious Diseases in Corrections Report. Annie received an MD from The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and a BA in Biology from Smith College.
