Shah Md. Shahjahan Miah has a diverse work experience in various research and scientific roles. Shah Md. Shahjahan started their career as a Research Officer at the International Center for Diarrheal Disease Research in 1998. Shah Md. Shahjahan then moved on to work at Penn State College of Medicine as a Research Officer and Supervisor. In 2005, they became a Postdoctoral Fellow at Fox Chase Cancer Center and later at Kerry S. Shah Md. Shahjahan continued their postdoctoral work until 2010, during which they also worked as a Research Scientist at Roger Williams Medical Center.

In 2010, Shahjahan Miah joined Brown University as an Investigator, focusing on the development and function of NK cells in mice and the role of tyrosine phosphatases in T and NK cell functions. Shah Md. Shahjahan left Brown University in 2018. During this period, from 2012 to 2017, they also served as a Senior Scientist at InCytu Inc., developing immunotherapeutic products for personalized medicine.

In 2017, Shahjahan Miah joined Gloriana Therapeutics as a Scientist, contributing to the development of a cell therapy platform for neurodegenerative diseases. Currently, they are working at EpiVax, Inc. as a Principal Specialist and Research Scientist.

Throughout their career, Shahjahan Miah has gained expertise in various scientific fields, including immunotherapy, cell therapy, and NK cell research.

Shah Md. Shahjahan Miah completed their education with a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from Kobe University in the years 2001 to 2004. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc) degree in Biochemistry from the University of Dhaka from 1997 to 1999 and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in Biochemistry from the same university from 1992 to 1998. Furthermore, they also hold a Project Management Essentials Certificate from Bryant University, obtained in May 2023.
