Jeremy Ramsden has been working in the field of enzyme engineering since 2022 when they began their role as Scientist at Epoch Biodesign. Prior to this, they held Principal Scientist and Research Scientist positions at EnzBond Limited from 2020 to 2022. From 2016 to 2020, they were a Postgraduate Research Student at the Manchester Institute of Biotechnology, where they completed their PhD under the supervision of Professor Nicholas Turner FRS. Their PhD focused on the development of imine reductase enzymes capable of performing reductive amination reactions and their application towards challenges in synthetic chemistry. In 2016, they also held a Graduate Teaching Assistant position at The University of Manchester. In 2019, they completed a CASE Placement at AstraZeneca Macclesfield, where they applied the biocatalytic methods they developed through their PhD in an industrial environment.
Jeremy Ramsden began their education at Bradford Grammar School, where they earned their High School degree. In 2012, they went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry from The University of Manchester, which they completed in 2016.
