Thomas Burk

Thomas Burk has a diverse work experience in the field of geospatial analysis and data science. Thomas currently holds the position of Chief Operating Officer at EpochGeo since January 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Data Scientist at BigBear, Inc. from July 2017 to November 2019. Thomas also has experience in geospatial management and analysis, having worked as a Geospatial Manager at DigitalGlobe from September 2016 to June 2017, as a Senior Geospatial Analyst from September 2013 to September 2016, and as a Geospatial Analyst at GeoEye Analytics from October 2011 to January 2013. Earlier in their career, Thomas worked as a Geospatial Analyst at CSI from March 2010 to October 2011 and as a GIS Technician at Camden County, North Carolina from July 2008 to March 2010. Thomas also gained teaching experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at George Mason University from August 2007 to June 2008.

Thomas Burk attended Hampden-Sydney College from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. From 2006 to 2008, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Geographic and Cartographic Sciences at George Mason University.
