Charles DeVeas

Engineer at Eppo

Charles DeVeas has held a variety of roles in the engineering and technology industry since 2010. From 2010-2011, they were an Intern at the Office of Naval Intelligence, where they conducted all-source intelligence research for a technical publication and attended conferences and naval sites. From 2011-2012, they were a Systems Engineer at Wavefront Technologies, where they supported a piece of software with customers in the IC and developed a system for the Systems Engineering team to automatically test the software overnight and schedule unit tests. In 2010, they were a Website Developer at the University of Virginia, where they created several websites for the engineering school's communications office, did photography for major events, and did basic maintenance of the website and back-end database. From 2011-2014, they were a Lead Software Engineer and then Director of Engineering at Storyblocks, where they led an effort to combine user accounts across three different products by introducing a microservices framework to a legacy PHP application. Charles also planned, roadmapped, and led a team of engineers to execute a phased approach for unifying the separate user accounts into a single service. From 2020-2022, they were a Co-Founder at Meetrics.io, and they are currently an Engineer at Eppo, where they are helping to build the world's best Experiment Platform.

Charles DeVeas earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia in 2012. Charles also holds a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification from the EC-Council.
