Job Summary
The Analyst/Senior Analyst, Investments will provide analytical and qualitative support to be reviewed and synthesized by senior team members in the pursuit of office acquisitions. The Analyst/Senior Analyst will assist with the evaluation of markets and submarkets, supports senior team members in the creation of a market-specific investment thesis, and supports the underwriting and execution of office investment opportunities.
The Analyst will also engage with regional market leads and work with teams on the development of asset strategies, production of valuations, and disposition coordination and analysis for existing investments. The Analyst must have remarkable organizational and communication skills with an ability to work through complex issues and apply critical thinking skills as they gain experience in the real estate investment space.
Essential Job Functions
As the Analyst/Senior Analyst, Investments, one is held accountable to, however not limited to, the following job functions:
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in business or related field·
1-2 years of investment experience, ideally working within a top-tier investment bank, real estate investment firm, or management consulting firm
Proactive and able to work independently, handle multiple concurrent projects, and meet deadlines
Keen attention to detail and to organization of deal materials and folders
Ability to think strategically and act proactively to support investment theses and decision-making
Strong Excel and financial modeling skills with a working knowledge of IRR, NPV, and other fundamental real estate metrics; Argus experience is required.
Strong written communication skills; ability to distill complexity into succinct, thoughtful deal memos and emails·
Manages self and others in an open, honest, courteous, and transparent manner·
Self-aware, self-secure, go getter, who knows the value of a team·
Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment and work effectively with deal team members often spread across multiple geographies, including but not limited to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, and Atlanta
Base Salary Range: ($100-$150k)
Total Direct Compensation: This job is also eligible for discretionary bonus on an annual basis.
