Laura Lalinde has a diverse work experience that includes roles in event planning, operations, and communications. Laura is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at EQDerivatives, Inc since November 2019. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Events at the same company from April 2019 to November 2019.
Before joining EQDerivatives, Laura Lalinde was the Director of Operations and Special Projects at Heterodox Academy from January 2018 to March 2019. In this role, they led the planning team for the Heterodox Academy Open Mind Conference and was responsible for event planning, timeline management, vendor coordination, and venue research.
From July 2016 to January 2018, Laura Lalinde worked as Assistant Director of Events at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI). Laura led the planning and execution team for the AEI World Forum, a high-profile public policy conference, and successfully organized events for renowned individuals such as Bill Gates, Elon Musk, and Mark Zuckerberg. Laura also organized the logistics for the AEI Annual Dinner. Prior to this role, Laura Lalinde worked as the Events Manager and Events Assistant at AEI, where they developed, produced, and managed various projects and coordinated logistics for high-profile attendees.
Laura Lalinde started their career as a Sales Associate at J.Crew from September 2010 to October 2014. Laura also gained experience as a Social Media and Communications Intern at the U.S. Department of State, where they supported European desk officers and assisted with event planning for the NATO Summit 2012. Laura also interned at the Microcredit Summit Campaign, where they coordinated network outreach and led community outreach strategies.
Laura Lalinde completed their Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Affairs at American University from 2008 to 2012. In 2011, they also studied German Language and Literature at Freie Universität Berlin for a brief period of time.
