Alex T. Dalla Piazza

Alex T. Dalla Piazza has a diverse work experience. Starting in 2012, they worked as a Technology Intern at Saucon Mutual Insurance Company, where they compiled and organized insurance policies, as well as created a paperless database. In 2015, they became a Graduate Teaching Assistant at The University of Akron, teaching and assisting with various geology courses.

From 2015 to 2017, Alex worked at Rice Energy as part of the Research, Development, Optimization - Production Engineering team. There, they developed programs to automate processes, analyzed and optimized artificial lift operations, and conducted extensive statistical analyses. They also tracked important production metrics and managed chemical programs.

Since 2017, Alex has been with EQT Corporation. They started as an Analyst in Production Operations, then became a Specialist before transitioning to the role of Data Scientist III. In their current role, they work on various computational data science projects across different departments. Their responsibilities include leveraging their knowledge of Python, R, SQL, and various other technologies to increase efficiencies, automate processes, and lower costs. They are also educated in all three paradigms of machine learning and have experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.

Alex T. Dalla Piazza has a diverse education history. Alex T. earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geological Science and Mining Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, where they studied from 2009 to 2014. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Petroleum Geology and Geoscience at The University of Akron from 2014 to 2016. Later, they attended the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2019 to 2022, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Computational Data Analytics.

In addition to their formal education, Alex has also obtained several certifications to enhance their skills. These certifications include completing the Learn JavaScript Course and Computer Science Career Path programs at Codecademy in August 2021 and March 2021 respectively. Alex T. also became a Python Programmer through DataCamp in February 2020 and acquired the Data Scientist with R certification from DataCamp in November 2019. Furthermore, Alex has received certifications in Workover/Coil Tubing/Snubbing/Wireline from Wild Well in July 2017 and the HAZWOPER 40 Hour certification from Occupational Safety & Health Administration in December 2012.
