CEO at Equa Multi Academy Trust

It is a real privilege to be the CEO of Equa Multi Academy Trust. I started working in schools almost 25 years ago as a teacher and since then have been part of leadership teams for almost 20 years. In that time, I have been a successful Headteacher of three different schools in Bristol, South Gloucestershire and most recently in Wiltshire. I have led both Primary and Secondary schools and in addition am a facilitator on the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) course which trains prospective head teachers. Equa Multi Academy Trust was established as a family of schools in 2019 and each and every day we are committed to cherishing that connection. We serve a range of communities in Wiltshire and are blessed with a landscape and setting that is breath taking; our mission is to ensure that the education we provide to our children is as equally expansive and rich. I was first drawn to Equa Multi Academy Trust by the strong sense of belonging and the child centered approach that all of our schools share, our motto, ‘every child, every chance’ certainly resonates with my own values. The values of Equa are complemented by the Christian ethos of our faith schools. In our broad and inclusive approach, we offer a home for all schools. It is an exciting period of time for Equa as we enter a period of growth, Equa has gained a good reputation as a strong trust and we thoroughly look forward to providing even more young people ‘every chance’ of success.
