Jon Ayre

Jon Ayre has a diverse work experience spanning over 17 years. Jon served as the Strategic Advisory Practice Lead at Equal Experts, where they played a key role in shaping and leading the Strategic Advisory practice. Prior to that, they were the Director of Technology, Digital Services, and Engineering at Co-op, where they led the technology team and contributed to the development of the Coop Guardian product.

Jon also worked at Aviva as the Global Head of Enterprise Architecture, where they shaped the enterprise architecture vision. Jon has experience in the public sector as well, having served as the CIO/CTO Cloud Specialist at High Speed Two (HS2) Ltd and the Chief Technology Officer at the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). During their time at the DWP, they led a team of IT specialists and played a crucial role in driving the digital transformation of the organization.

In their earlier career, Jon held leadership positions at Philips, Barclays Bank, and Tesco Stores Ltd, where they contributed to various enterprise-wide projects and provided consultancy on issues like real-time payment systems, bulk printing, and document management.

Jon Ayre attended Harrogate Grammar School from 1977 to 1983. After completing their secondary education, they enrolled at the University of Southampton from 1984 to 1989. During their time at the university, they pursued a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree with a specialization in Electronic Engineering.
