Rachel Albinson has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Rachel is currently serving as the Head of Human Rights Monitoring at the Equality and Human Rights Commission since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Deputy Head of the G7 Gender Equality Advisory Council Secretariat at the Cabinet Office from January 2021 to June 2022. Rachel also held the position of Head of LGBT Safety & Workplace at the Government Equalities Office from December 2019 to January 2021. Rachel has also gained experience in various roles at different organizations such as the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, HM Revenue & Customs, and the European External Action Service, among others.

Rachel Albinson's education history includes a short course in International Human Rights Law & Practice from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 2017. Rachel also holds a Master of Arts (MA) in Conference Interpreting & Translation Studies from the University of Leeds, completed between 2012 and 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Joint Honours French & Greek Civilisation from the University of Leeds, where they studied from 2007 to 2011. In addition to their degrees, Rachel has obtained certifications such as SDL Trados Studio 2011 for Translators - Getting Started and Intermediate from SDL in 2013, as well as a TEFL certification from UK TEFL in 2011.
