Amy Hutchinson has a diverse range of work experience in development and strategy roles. Their most recent role is at Equality Now, where they currently serve as the Global Director of Development since September 2022. Prior to that, they worked at EQUAL JUSTICE UNDER LAW as a Development Advisor starting in May 2017. From October 2021 to October 2022, they were the Director of Strategy & Development at Orr Group. Amy also has experience as the National Director of Development at NAMI from August 2017 to October 2021, and as a Development & Strategic Partnerships Advisor at Elephant Action League & WildLeaks from September 2015 to August 2017. Additionally, they served as the Head of Development at JASS (Just Associates) from May 2013 to September 2015, and as the Director of Development for the Enough Project at the Center for American Progress from May 2011 to June 2013. Earlier in their career, Amy worked at Catholics for Choice as a Development Associate from 2008 to 2010, and previously held the role of Publications Coordinator & Editorial Associate of Conscience magazine from 2005 to 2008. Amy also worked as a Teaching Assistant at American University from 2004 to 2005, and as a Litigation Consultant Coordinator and Office Manager at Litigation Edge from 2002 to 2004.
Amy Hutchinson received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology & Psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia, where they studied from 1998 to 2002. Amy then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Sociology at American University from 2004 to 2007.
