Bryna Keenan Subherwal's work experience begins in 2003 as a Program Assistant for the Academic Council on the United Nations System (ACUNS). In this role, they collaborated with university academics to plan and execute an international conference. Bryna Keenan also participated in the bid team for government funding.

From 2003 to 2004, Bryna worked as a Graduate Intern for the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs. Bryna Keenan conducted research, drafted reports, and contributed to the development of an early warning summary report.

Following that, from 2004 to 2006, Bryna served as the National Council Program Coordinator for the United Nations Association. Bryna Keenan'sresponsibilities included organizing events for senior members of the US foreign policy community, including a National Council Meeting attended by former President Carter.

In 2006, Bryna joined Amnesty International as a Web Advocacy Associate, managing the Spanish language section of the website. Bryna Keenan maintained and updated the website while also designing a communication strategy for a challenging issue.

Bryna continued at Amnesty International, taking on the role of Production Coordinator from 2007 to 2008. In this position, they managed a team assistant and student interns, ensuring timely and high-quality content for articles, online actions, and direct communications.

From 2008 to 2014, Bryna held various roles at Amnesty International, including Campaigner, Individuals at Risk, and Manager, Campaigns. In these positions, they coordinated and communicated campaigns to supporters, led a team of volunteers, and delivered multilingual PR strategies.

In 2014, Bryna became the Volunteer Manager at the LGBT Foundation, where they managed the Foundation's Volunteer Program and provided training for health and wellbeing services.

Bryna Keenan then briefly worked as a Digital Campaigning Consultant at Amnesty International in 2017 before joining the Refugee Council in 2016 as an Integration and Triage Volunteer.

In 2018, Bryna started working at the Institute for Immigrant Concerns as an ESL Teacher, providing English language instruction until 2020.

Currently, Bryna is the Global Head of Advocacy Communications at Equality Now, where they have held various roles since 2018, including Head of Advocacy Communications and Advocacy Campaign Manager. Bryna Keenan'sresponsibilities include leading global advocacy communications, overseeing campaign strategies, and building partnerships.

Throughout their career, Bryna has demonstrated a strong commitment to human rights and advocacy work.

Bryna Keenan Subherwal has a diverse education history. Bryna Keenan obtained their HS Diploma (UK A Level Equivalent) from Manlius Pebble Hill School in the year 1994. Later, from 1994 to 1998, they pursued their Bachelor's degree in World Religions and Latin American Literature from Smith College. In 1996-1997, they went on to study abroad at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and Universidad de Chile. Continuing their academic journey, they pursued a Master's degree in International Relations from Yale University, earning their degree between 2002 and 2004. In 2016, they completed a 10-week course in Digital Marketing at General Assembly. Additionally, they hold certifications including a Chief Question Officer Certificate from the Inquiry Institute Inc. and General First Aid certification from the British Red Cross.
