New York Director at Equality Now

Lauren Hersh has a strong background in advocating against sex trafficking and has held various leadership roles in this field. lauren started their career at the Kings County District Attorneys Office in 2004, where they served as the Chief of the Sex Trafficking Unit until 2012. In this role, they led efforts to combat sex trafficking in the area. Following this, they joined Equality Now in 2012 as the New York Director, where they continued their work in advocating for women's rights. In 2014, they became the Director of Anti Trafficking Policy & Advocacy at Sanctuary for Families, where they continue their efforts to combat sex trafficking and support survivors.

Lauren Hersh began their education in 1990 at Freehold Township High School, where they attended until 1993. Following their high school education, they enrolled at Washington University in St. Louis, where they pursued studies in an unspecified field but did not obtain a degree. Later, in 2000, Lauren Hersh attended Brooklyn Law School, where they completed their Juris Doctorate (JD) degree in law between 2000 and 2002.
