Jeff Sarnat

Jeff Sarnat has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Jeff is currently working as a Principal Software Engineer at Equilibrium Energy since March 2023. Previously, they worked at Sigma Computing from September 2020 to July 2021, where they were the technical lead on the Query Compiler team and played a crucial role in revamping the company's interview practices. Before that, Jeff worked at Stripe from June 2015 to December 2019, where they were involved in the development of machine learning models to prevent credit card fraud. Jeff also worked at Twitter as a Software Engineer from February 2012 to June 2015, primarily focusing on back-end infrastructure and making significant contributions through side projects. Jeff started their career as a Postdoc at INRIA from December 2009 to June 2011 and subsequently worked as a Teaching Assistant at IT University of Copenhagen from September 2005 to August 2008.

Jeff Sarnat earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, where they studied from 1998 to 2002. Jeff then went on to pursue a Ph.D. in Computer Science at Yale University from 2002 to 2010.
