Tom Gerace

Tom Gerace has a comprehensive work experience spanning over several decades. Tom is currently serving as the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at EquiLife since July 2021. Prior to that, they worked as the Chief Marketing Officer at EquiLife from January 2020 to December 2021.

One of their notable roles was as the Founder and CEO of Skyword, a leading content marketing platform and services company. Tom held this position from December 2010 to July 2019.

Tom Gerace also founded and served as the Chairman of the Social Media Ad Consortium (SMAC), an industry association dedicated to advancing social marketing. Tom held this role from 2008 to 2012.

Before their involvement with SMAC, they worked as the President and CEO of Gather Inc from September 2004 to December 2010 and as the SVP Marketing at National Leisure Group (NLG) from June 2002 to July 2004.

Tom Gerace is known for their entrepreneurial ventures as well. Tom was the Founder, President, and Chief Marketing Officer of Be Free, the first affiliate marketing platform and services company. Tom took the company public in 1999 and eventually sold it to ValueClick in 2002.

Tom worked as a Researcher at Harvard Business School, where they wrote the first HBS case studies on the emergence of the Internet. Tom also served as an IT Manager at the Information Technology Group of Harvard Business School.

Tom Gerace attended Harvard University from 1989 to 1993, where they obtained an A.B. degree in Social Studies. Their field of study at Harvard included sociology, history, statistics, and economics. Prior to attending Harvard, they completed their high school education at Bethel Park High School from 1985 to 1989. In terms of additional certifications, Tom obtained a HIPAA Certificate from Accountable HQ in October 2022.
