Santiago Pulgar

Santiago Pulgar has extensive work experience in the field of information technology and cybersecurity. Santiago currently holds the position of Head of IT Security at Seguros Equinoccial since August 2022. Prior to this, Santiago worked as a Technology Risk Expert at Banco Pichincha from January 2021 to August 2022. Santiago also served as the Chief Information Security Officer at Equivida from November 2019 to January 2021. Before that, they were a Cybersecurity Architect at MAINT from September 2017 to September 2019. Santiago's career started at Blue Hat Consultores, where they worked as the Chief Technology Officer from June 2009 to September 2017.

Santiago Pulgar has a Master's degree in Business Administration and Management from UCAM Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia. Santiago also holds a Master's degree in Cybersecurity from Universitat de Barcelona. Santiago has further education in the field of security informatics and systems, with a Diploma in Ethical Hacking and Cyberintelligence from CEUPE - Centro Europeo de Postgrado y Empresa. Santiago completed their undergraduate studies at Universidad Tecnológica Israel, where they earned a degree as an Electronics Engineer in Telecommunications. In addition to their formal education, Santiago has obtained multiple certifications in various areas such as network security, risk management, and IT service management. Some of these certifications include Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Routing and Switching, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), and ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor.
