Christian Lien

Christian Lien is an experienced professional in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as Manager L&D O&M and Vice President Operations at Equinor since May 2015. Prior to this, Christian held the Vice President Operations position at Statoil from February 2013 to May 2023 and has held various roles within Statoil, including Platform Manager and Production Supervisor. With a strong technical background, Christian has also worked as a Technical Safety Engineer at Scandpower Risk Management and KD Sikkerhetsteknologi. Christian's career began at Kværner Oil and Gas, where responsibilities included maintenance and modifications. Christian holds a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from South Dakota School of Mines & Technology and South Dakota Mines, respectively, as well as an Ingeniør degree from Bergen Ingeniørhøyskole.
