Ignacio Prieto

Ignacio Prieto is an experienced technical professional specializing in instrumentation and control systems. Currently serving as an Instrumentation and Control Technical Officer at Fusion for Energy since November 2021, Ignacio previously worked as an Interlock System Engineer at ITER Organization, where responsibilities included dependability analysis and factory acceptance testing of the Interlock Control System. Prior to that, Ignacio held the position of Technical Coordinator for the Central Interlock System at Iberdrola Engineering and Construction, focusing on dependability analysis and system validation. Ignacio's career began at Iberdrola Ingenieria y Construccion as an I&C Engineer, contributing to the Moorside Nuclear Power Plant project. Earlier experience includes internships with Tecnatom and Instituto Nacional Tecnica Aeroespacial. Ignacio holds an Ingeniero degree from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and a Master's degree in Nuclear Engineering from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
