Markus A Geiger

Markus A Geiger is a Project Portfolio Leader at Equinor, where they lead a portfolio of technology development projects focused on reservoir characterization and drainage optimization. Previously, they served as the Leader of Exploration Research in Sedimentology and Stratigraphy, as well as Project Leader for regional exploration projects in Africa and South America. Geiger has extensive experience as a Principal Geologist in Statoil, directing subsurface activities in various global exploration assets. They earned their PhD in Geological and Earth Sciences from the University of Bremen and hold both a B.Sc. and an M.Sc. in Geography and Geological Sciences from the Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg.
