Raul Portella

Raul Portella is an accomplished operations professional with extensive experience in the energy and logistics sectors. Currently serving as Vice President of Operations Technology & Excellence at Equinor since June 2018, Raul previously held various leadership positions at Statoil, where responsibilities included managing an operating budget of US$130MM. At Shell (E&P) Brasil Ltda, Raul managed a budget of US$97MM while overseeing logistics operations. Earlier roles included National Logistics Manager at Carrefour and Supply Chain Manager at Johnson Wax Professional Ltda, demonstrating a strong background in budget management and operational excellence. Raul holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Metallurgical Engineering from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro and has furthered education at the University of California, Berkeley.
