Sheng Xu

Sheng Xu serves as the Lead Researcher at Equinor since December 2012, where an algorithm was developed to correct time dispersion error for wave propagation. Prior to this role, Sheng Xu held various positions at CGGVeritas Inc., including Chief Scientist and Vice President of Research, contributing to the development of full waveform inversion algorithms and RTM 3D angle gathers algorithm. Previous experience includes roles at VeritasDGC Inc. and PARADIGM GEOPHYSICAL (U.K.) LIMITED, focusing on land data regularization algorithms and ray tracing for weak anisotropy media. Academic credentials include a PhD in Geophysics from Mines Paris - PSL and advanced degrees in Geophysics from the Institute Francaise du Petrole and the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
