Sverre Gjerde

Sverre Gjerde is an experienced electrical power systems engineer with a notable career spanning various roles in leading companies within the energy sector. Currently serving as Leading Engineer in Electrical Power Systems at Equinor since September 2021, Sverre previously held the position of Principal Engineer II at Aibel AS and worked as an Electrical Engineer at Multiconsult. Prior experience includes overseeing R&D coordination for offshore wind electrical systems as a Senior Electrical Engineer at Statkraft and development engineering at Siemens. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Electric Power Engineering and an MS in Energy and Environment from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, alongside part of a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from EPFL.
