Rodrigo Fonseca

Rodrigo Fonseca is an experienced mining professional with a strong background in operations management and project leadership. Currently serving as General Manager at Equinox Gold Corp. since September 2023, Rodrigo previously held the position of General Manager at Nexa Resources, where responsibilities included overseeing the Aripuanã Project Operations, a significant greenfield project in Brazil. Prior to that, Rodrigo was the Mining Director at Imerys Kaolin, managing major mining operations and a substantial budget, while also focusing on operational excellence and sustainability. Rodrigo's comprehensive expertise encompasses process optimization, training, stakeholder management, and adherence to legal requirements within the mining industry, supported by a degree in Mining Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul.
