Cy Gomez

Cy Gomez has extensive experience in the hospitality industry, particularly in engineering and operations. Cy currently holds the position of Director of Engineering at Equinox Hotels. Prior to this, Cy served as the Director of Engineering at Hyatt Place in New York City and Corporate Director of Engineering/Operations at Spring Place. Cy also worked as the Director of Development/Project Management at PLAN DO SEE AMERICA. Cy's previous experience includes roles as the Director of Engineering/Security and Director of Facilities Operations at Ace Hotel/Atelier Ace, Director of Engineering/Security at Ink 48 Hotel, and Area Director of Engineering and Director of Engineering at W Hotels. With a career spanning over two decades, Cy has developed a wide range of skills and expertise in their field.

Cy Gomez earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Interior Design from the New York School of Interior Design, where they studied from 1989 to 1994. Prior to that, they completed high school at George Washington High School, graduating in 1987 with a diploma in Business/Managerial Economics. In addition to their formal education, Cy Gomez has also obtained several certifications. In 1991, they obtained a LICENSE (RMO Q-01) from The Turner School. Later, in 2005, they received a certification in Fire Safety Management (FSM) from The Turner School. In 2008, Cy Gomez attained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from NYU School of Professional Studies. Cy'smost recent certification is the Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) from Cornell University, which they obtained in March 2017.
