Michael Ghaffari

Michael Ghaffari has a diverse range of work experience in the field of software engineering and technology development. Michael began their career at Tetracore Inc as a Software Engineer in 2010 before joining the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) in 2011. At UNOS, they held various roles including Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, Associate Software Engineering Manager, Software Engineering Manager, Assistant Director of Software Engineering, Director of Software Engineering, and currently serves as the Senior Director of Technology Development. Throughout their roles at UNOS, Ghaffari focused on modernizing and scaling their custom applications and services, implementing microservice architecture, and utilizing predictive analytics and cloud technologies. In addition to their work at UNOS, Ghaffari also worked as a Contract Developer for ESL - Turtle Entertainment, primarily focused on front-end work with the typo3 CMS tool. Michael also had a role as a Contract Web Developer and Support Admin/League Admin for the E-Sports Entertainment Association, where they worked on competitive gaming websites using PHP, MySQL, and Git.

Michael Ghaffari completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science from Virginia Commonwealth University, where they studied from 2005 to 2010. In addition to their degree, they obtained a certification in "Hiring Your Team" from LinkedIn in April 2018.
