Joost Haar

Design Lead at Equip

Joost Haar has a diverse range of work experience in the design field. Joost started their career as an Industrial Designer at Benchmark Electronics, Inc. in 2014, where they developed a concept for a medical device. In 2016, they contributed to the development of Mocean One, a startup in Trondheim, Norway, as a UI/UX Interaction Designer. Joost then interned at Philips Lighting, working on their vision to go beyond illumination and expand into systems and services. In 2018, Joost joined Rabobank as a UX Designer and worked there until 2022. During this time, they also had several external roles through UX Partner, including as a UX Designer at Independer and as a UX Consultant at Equip. Joost then joined Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland (RVO) as a Service Designer before returning to UX Partner as a UX Designer. Currently, Joost is the Design Lead at Equip, a digital financial coaching platform for employees.

Joost Haar obtained a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design from the University of Twente in 2015. Joost then pursued a Master of Science in Industrial Design Engineering at the same university from 2015 to 2017. Additionally, they attended the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in 2016 to further their studies in Industrial Design. Joost Haar also holds a certification in Bachelor Industrieel Ontwerpen from the University of Twente.
