Austin Clemens

Austin Clemens is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in research and policy analysis. Currently a Senior Fellow at the Washington Center for Equitable Growth since June 2015, Austin has held various leadership roles, including Interim Director of Policy and Director of Economic Measurement Policy. Prior to this, Austin served as an Assistant Research Scientist at the Public Policy Research Institute, focusing on public policy effectiveness through quantitative methods. Academic experience includes a position as a Lecturer in Political Science at Texas A&M University and as a Research Assistant at the University of Georgia, where Austin earned a PhD in Political Science. Additionally, Austin holds a BA in Economics from The University of Texas at Austin and has experience as an Editor II at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.
