Michele Battle-Fisher has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Michele currently works at Equitas Health as the Associate Director of Research and previously served as the Research Manager. Additionally, Michele works as an Adjunct Instructor at Temple University - Lewis Katz School of Medicine and as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Wright State University Population and Public Health. Michele has been recognized as a finalist in the MIT Press Pitchfest and has also been a guest speaker at TEDx discussing health systems science. Michele is the founder of Orgcomplexity, a micro think tank that focuses on health policy, and has held positions at Wright State University as an Assistant Program Director/Instructor for the Master of Public Health program and as Affiliate Faculty at the Center of Excellence in Human-Centered Innovation.
Michele Battle-Fisher's education history includes various degrees and coursework. Michele pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology Black Studies from The Ohio State University, completing it from 1988 to 1993. Michele furthered their education at the same university by obtaining a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Public Health Education and Promotion, which they completed from 1996 to 2002. In 2002, they also earned a Master of Arts (MA) degree in African American and African Studies from The Ohio State University. Subsequently, Michele pursued a PhD coursework in Public Health-Health Behavior and Health Promotion from The Ohio State University, which they completed from 2008 to 2012. More recently, in 2020, they pursued a Postgraduate Degree in Systems Science and Theory at the University of Hull.
Additionally, Michele Battle-Fisher obtained a certification in Group 7: IRB BioMed/GCP Research (All Medical Investigators and Staff) from the CITI Program in August 2023.
