Elizabeth Barr

Elizabeth Barr, PhD, currently serves as the Associate Director for Interdisciplinary Research at the National Institutes of Health's Office of Research on Women's Health, a position held since October 2019. Prior to this role, Elizabeth worked as a Social and Behavioral Scientist Administrator and a Science Research Analyst at the same office. Elizabeth's academic experience includes serving as a Visiting Lecturer and Adjunct Faculty at both the University of Maryland Baltimore County and Towson University, focusing on public health, gender, and social science research, particularly concerning women and HIV. Elizabeth holds a PhD in Communication Arts with a focus on Rhetoric, Politics, and Culture, along with multiple degrees in Women's Studies and Gender and Women's Studies.
