Dr. Kedarasetti is a Senior Researcher within the Applied Research & Development Team at E2G. Prior to E2G, he worked as a research associate at Pennsylvania State University (2015-2020) and as a Design Engineer at Caterpillar Inc. (2011-2015). His Ph.D. thesis research at Penn State was focused on simulating cerebrospinal fluid flow in the brain using fluid-structure interaction and poroelastic models with the finite element method. He developed novel model formulations to simulate fluid flow in and around the brain using the theory of mixtures. He also developed image processing methods to analyze data collected from live animals to validate the finite element models.
As a design engineer at Caterpillar, Dr. Kedarasetti developed finite element models to analyze the strength and fatigue life of machine components in heavy machinery. He has experience analyzing welded and bolted joints in mining and forestry equipment.
