Vincent Maurel currently serves as the Head of Geology and Mining Engineering and CTO of Exploration and New Projects at Eramet, a position held since October 2017. Vincent's responsibilities include overseeing data acquisition, deposit estimation, and process determination for target metals such as Lithium, Nickel, Manganese, and Titanium, as well as evaluating exploration portfolio projects for technical and economic viability. Prior to Eramet, Vincent was a Senior Mining Engineer and Project Manager for a geothermal lithium extraction project and held various roles at SLN - Le Nickel, including Health Safety and Risk Department Manager, Tiébaghi Mine Manager, and Mining Engineer. Earlier in Vincent's career, important positions included Site Manager at Lhoist and Mining and Planning Engineer at Société Le Nickel. The professional journey began as a Junior Geologist at Total, where responsibilities included monitoring coal quality and geological campaigns in South Africa. Vincent Maurel holds an Engineer's degree in Geology from Ecole nationale supérieure de Géologie, obtained between 1998 and 2001.
