Chris Kager, MD MBA, is a neurosurgeon with extensive experience in the medical field. Chris has been practicing as a Neurosurgeon at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health since 2001. In addition to their medical career, they have also held various roles in the investment sector. Chris is currently a General Partner and Chief Medical Officer at Global Health Impact Fund & Network, where they focus on venture capital investments in healthcare technology companies. Chris is also involved in other investment ventures, including being a Partner at Global Health Impact Network and serving as a Vice President of Strategy and Seed Investor at GenHydro Inc. Furthermore, they have acted as a Private Investor in various companies such as lifebrand, Evermind, Simply Good Jars, NeuroFlow, and Phytonix Corporation. Through their investments, Chris aims to support sustainable technology, healthcare advancements, and social media monitoring solutions. In 2023, Chris will expand their horizons as a screenwriter, working on a medical thriller called "Like Minds."
Chris Kager, MD MBA began their education at Coxsackie-Athens High School from 1982 to 1986. Chris obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Neuroscience from the University of Pennsylvania, which they attended from 1986 to 1990. Following this, they pursued their medical education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, where they earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from 1990 to 1994. Subsequently, they completed a residency in Neurosurgery at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine between 1994 and 2000. To further specialize in their field, Dr. Kager undertook a fellowship in Complex Spine Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine from 2000 to 2001. Lastly, in 2020 to 2021, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from the Quantic School of Business and Technology.
