Geranne Jiskoot

Geranne Jiskoot is a dedicated postdoctoral researcher and psychologist at Erasmus MC since March 2007, focusing on polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and obesity, with a research question examining the effectiveness of a lifestyle program that includes cognitive behavioral therapy, a healthy diet, and exercise for weight loss and depression in women with PCOS. Geranne has also contributed to the Obesity Center CGG, which addresses cases of severe obesity with multidisciplinary approaches. Prior experience includes serving as a social worker and independent therapist at Praktijk Miro, specializing in eating disorders, and tutoring first-year medical students at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Public Health from Erasmus University Rotterdam and a Master's degree in Health Care Psychology from Open Universiteit, along with training in cognitive behavioral therapy.
