Ioannis Androulakis is currently a Medical Physics Resident in Radiotherapy at Erasmus MC since January 2019, participating in a four-year residency program. Previous roles include Postdoctoral Researcher focused on electromagnetic tracking for high dose rate brachytherapy treatments and Doctoral Candidate studying HDR brachytherapy and hyperthermia radiosensitization for high-risk prostate cancer. Ioannis has also gained experience as a Junior Researcher at Erasmus MC, developing software tools for heart valve localization in CT images, and served as a Graduate Researcher at the University of Crete, investigating coronary artery calcium scoring. Earlier experience includes positions at Theagenio Thessaloniki Cancer Hospital and Stadscafe Weena. Educational credentials include a PhD in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Erasmus University Rotterdam, an MSc in Health/Medical Physics from the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, and a BSc in Physics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
