David Löbl

David Loebl has a strong background in aviation and engineering. David began their career as an Assistant for Flight Operation and Aircraft Maintenance in the Austrian Airforce in 2006. In 2007, they worked as a Development Engineer at Diamond Aircraft Industries GmbH. From 2012 to 2018, Loebl was a Research Associate at the Technical University of Munich, Institute of Flight System Dynamics, where they worked on various research projects related to aircraft formation flight and aerial refueling. In 2018, they joined AutoFlightX GmbH as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) until 2020. Currently, Loebl is the Chief Passioneer (CEO) at eRC-System GmbH. David has experience in developing guidance and control algorithms, safety analysis, system development, and certification approaches for aviation.

David Loebl's education history includes a Ph.D. in Flight Safety and Flight Controls from the Technical University of Munich, obtained between 2012 and 2018. David also holds a Dipl.-Ing. (Univ) in Aerospace Engineering from the same institution, acquired from 2007 to 2012. Prior to that, David obtained their High School Certificate in Aerospace from Höhere Technische Bundeslehranstalt Eisenstadt, from 2001 to 2006. Additionally, they have certifications such as the AFZ Allgemeines Sprechfunkzeugnis für den beweglichen Flugfunkdienst from Fernmeldebüro für Wien, Niederösterreich und Burgenland, and a Glider and Motor Glider Pilot License (exp.) from the Österreichischer Aeroclub.
