Manuel Navarro Catalan

Manuel Navarro Catalán, P.E. is a Large Load Integration Engineer at ERCOT since January 2021, responsible for reviewing load interconnection studies and collaborating with transmission operators, while developing internal processes for a new team. Prior roles at ERCOT include serving as an Operations Engineer during which NERC certification was obtained, providing real-time engineering analysis and technical support in the control room. Manuel's experience also includes a graduate research assistantship at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute focused on power system modeling and simulation software development for the New York Power Authority. Previous internships include operations analysis and electrical engineering roles, and Manuel holds a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor's degree from The University of Texas at Austin, supplemented by exchange programs at KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Peking University.
