Muhammad Usman Zafar has extensive experience in IT architecture and solutions, currently serving as Lead Solutions Architect at ERCOT since April 2022, driving technology transformation projects and collaborating with C-Level executives. Previously at AT&T, Muhammad held the position of Principal Solutions Architect, where responsibilities included improving system resiliency for mission-critical applications. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Software Architect at Deloitte, consulting on tax processing systems for the IRS, and working as an Independent Consultant focusing on RESTful web applications. Muhammad also served as an Engineer Analyst for Energetics and contributed as a Graduate Researcher and Technology Consultant at The University of Texas at Austin. Earlier positions include Software Engineer III at FactSet Research Systems and Staff Software Engineer at National Instruments. Muhammad holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology, a Master’s in Global Policy Studies from The University of Texas at Austin, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the same institution.
