Gerardo Maldonado

Senior Vice President Of Global Sales at Ergon

Gerardo Maldonado has extensive work experience in the oil and gas industry. Gerardo started their career in 2004 with South Hampton Refining Co, where they served as a Senior Account Executive and later as the General Manager for Operations in Mexico. In these roles, Gerardo was responsible for business development, customer relations, and managing trade operations.

In 2008, Gerardo became the International Sales and Aromatics Director for South Hampton Refining Co, where they led the company's expansion into Latin America and Europe. Gerardo also served as the Feedstock Purchasing & Hedging Manager, overseeing purchasing, trading, and risk management of feed stocks.

In 2012, Gerardo joined Brenntag as the Business Development & Procurement Manager, where they managed purchasing, trading, and risk management, as well as identified new business opportunities.

Since 2013, Gerardo has been with Ergon Inc., starting as the Latin America Manager and later transitioning to the role of Director for Latin America. In these positions, Gerardo focused on building and implementing strategic business plans, developing partnerships with distributors, and growing sales agreements with major energy companies. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President Sales & Marketing Latin America at Ergon Inc.

Gerardo Maldonado has completed a Leadership Coaching Certification from Rice University. Gerardo also obtained a degree in Gasoline & Diesel Blending from the Refinery Automation Institute. Gerardo has attended The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where they completed a course on Essentials of Effective Management. Furthermore, they hold a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Universidad Gestalt Mexico City. Lastly, Gerardo has received a certification in Essentials of Effective Management from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business Executive Education.
