Chris Newton

Chris Newton has over 30 years of work experience in the field of information systems and business systems. Their most recent role was as the Head of Business Systems at Eric Wright Group, a position they have held since March 2020. Prior to that, they served as the Head of IT and Business Systems at Linx Printing Technologies from January 2016 to March 2020. Chris also has experience as the Head of Information Systems at James Cropper plc, where they managed a team of 14 IT professionals and was responsible for the management of the IS department budget. Before that, they served as the Information Systems Director at Renold plc, where they oversaw the development and implementation of the group IT strategy. Chris started their career at Whitecroft plc, initially working as a Divisional Production Engineer before becoming the Group Systems Controller, responsible for establishing a group-wide financial consolidation and reporting system. Throughout their career, Chris has been involved in ERP implementations and has worked in multiple businesses, countries, and cultures.

Chris Newton completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Production Engineering from Brunel University London from 1974 to 1981. Later, they pursued a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Manufacturing Systems from the University of Wales Institute of Science and Technology (UWIST) from 1985 to 1986.
