Veronica Cortez is the Associate Director of Policy at Erikson Institute. Veronica was previously a staff attorney at Shriver Center on Poverty Law, Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF), and Hughes Socol Piers Resnick & Dym Ltd. Veronica began their career as a civil rights law clerk and paralegal at Hughes Socol Piers Resnick & Dym Ltd.

Veronica Cortez has a Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology, a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations & Theirpanic Studies from Brown University, and High School Diploma from Cristo Rey Jesuit High School.
