Veronica Cortez

Veronica Cortez is the Associate Director of Policy at Erikson Institute. Veronica was previously a staff attorney at Shriver Center on Poverty Law, Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF), and Hughes Socol Piers Resnick & Dym Ltd. Veronica began their career as a civil rights law clerk and paralegal at Hughes Socol Piers Resnick & Dym Ltd.

Veronica Cortez has a Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology, a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations & Theirpanic Studies from Brown University, and High School Diploma from Cristo Rey Jesuit High School. Veronica also participated in study abroad programs in International Law at the University of Navarra and Spanish & Latin American literature at Universidad de Sevilla.
