Nicole Patton, M.Ed., CHRL has a diverse work experience in the field of Human Resources. Nicole began their career at Tim Hortons in 2000 as a Staffing Specialist, where they implemented the applicant tracking system and recruited for various positions. Nicole then progressed to the role of Human Resources Generalist, providing guidance and support to all levels of management in areas such as employee relations, performance management, and training and development. In 2007, they joined the Tim Horton Children's Foundation as the Human Resources Manager, overseeing the establishment of the HR department and managing a team responsible for 500 seasonal and 150 year-round employees across multiple camps. Nicole continued their career in the non-profit sector at ErinoakKids Centre for Treatment and Development, initially as a Manager and subsequently as Director of Human Resources. In their current role as Vice President of Human Resources at ErinoakKids, Nicole is responsible for the overall strategic direction and management of the HR function.

Nicole Patton, M.Ed., CHRL has an extensive education history that spans over several years. Their educational journey began in 1992 when they pursued an Honours BA in Sociology from the University of Guelph, which they completed in 1996.

After a gap in their education, Nicole further enhanced their knowledge and skills in the field of Human Resources by completing a Human Resources Post Diploma program at Humber College in 2002. This program focused specifically on Human Resources and provided their with valuable knowledge in this area.

In 2009, Nicole achieved a significant milestone in their education by obtaining a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation from the Human Resources Professionals Association. This certification reflects their expertise and competence in the field of Human Resources.

Continuing their educational journey, Nicole enrolled at Adler International Learning in 2010 and successfully completed Certified Coach Training (ATC) in 2011. This training equipped their with the necessary skills to coach individuals effectively.

In 2012, they pursued a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Adult Education from Brock University. This program focused on the unique needs of adult learners and provided Nicole with a deeper understanding of adult education principles.

During their time at Brock University, Nicole also undertook additional professional development opportunities. Nicole became a certified Facilitator of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) assessment, which allowed their to guide individuals through personality assessments.

In 2014, Nicole engaged in further professional development by completing the ADKAR Change Management certification program offered by Prosci. This training provided their with expertise in effectively managing change within organizations.

To enhance their knowledge in the field of Labour Relations, Nicole pursued a Labour Relations Certificate program in 2017 offered by the Human Resources Professionals Association.

Nicole's educational history reflects their commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Their diverse educational experiences in sociology, human resources, adult education, coaching, change management, and labour relations have equipped their with a broad skill set and a strong foundation for their career.
